Description
General
Bohemian Shepherd has a medium size and length (19 to 22 inches in height and weigh about 35-55 lbs). Long thick and water repellent fur and a rich undercoat that allows him to survive in harsh weather. The body is compact and well proportioned with high set, small, pointed, erect ears and a long elegant neckline. A fluid, light and unhurried gait is one of the typical characteristics of this breed. Bohemian Shepherd is typically known as a healthy and hearty breed with low maintenance, despite the long hair.
Temperament
Bohemian Shepherd is extremely intelligent with great drive and high energy. He is quick to learn, obedient by nature and can be easily trained. This breed possesses a stable, calm and friendly temperament that is free from nervous, or aggressive behavior. He is patient, understanding and good with children, dogs, and other pets. Best known for its devoted and outgoing nature, the Bohemian Shepherd is full of character. Loyal, loving and affectionate, this makes him an excellent family pet, working dog and companion alike. He is naturally protective of his family.
